Executive Summary
Kanishya recently completed her second year of law school at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. During law school, she has been actively involved in student leadership, including serving as the President of the South Asian Law Students' Association. She has a strong interest in litigation, corporate and real estate law.
Prior to law school, Kanishya completed her undergraduate studies in journalism at the University of Guelph-Humber where she wrote her thesis, The Impact of Blurring Factual Boundaries with Entertainment in the True Crime Industry on Contemporary Criminal Cases. Outside of her legal work, Kanishya is the founder and owner of The Luxe Balloons Co., an event planning and decor company. During her free time, Kanishya enjoys playing pickleball, taking Pilates classes and travelling!
