Madelena recently graduated from Western Law and obtained her Juris Doctorate in June 2017. Originally from London, Ontario, Madelena began her post-secondary education at the University of Victoria, later transferring to complete her undergraduate degree, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History, at Western University.
While attending Western Law, Madelena was actively involved in a number of extracurricular clubs and committees including Orientation Committee, Social Committee, Gender and the Law Association, Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights and Community Outreach. During her first year, she worked as a 1L caseworker at the Community Legal Services clinic at Western. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, Madelena also volunteered for a local organization that provides support for individuals with special needs, where she completed a research project addressing specific wills and estates issues. Throughout her time at law school, Madelena worked in legal research for a civil litigation firm in London.
Madelena is an active yogi and music enthusiast with a passion for travel.
Madelena was a summer student at Gardiner Roberts in 2016 and has returned to article in 2017-18.
