Jackie Bartlett

Jackie has practiced condominium law since she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016 and has extensive experience with issues commonly arising between condominium corporations, their boards, owners, and third parties. She has developed an expertise in the recent amendments to the Condominium Act, 1998, including issues caused by the legalization of cannabis, noise and nuisance, short term rentals, shared facilities disputes, oppression issues, and more.
Jackie enjoys that condominium law is a unique in that it often involves an intersection of a number of different areas of law: corporate governance, real estate, human rights, and employment, to name a few.

Jackie frequently acts for both condominium corporations and condominium owners. This provides her with perspective into the goals, challenges, and issues which commonly afflict both sides.

Jackie completes both solicitor and litigation work for condominium corporations. In her litigation practice, she has worked on several precedent setting condominium cases and has represented clients before many levels of Courts and tribunals in Ontario. She also frequently represents owners and condo corporations at mediations and arbitrations.

Jackie is respected by her clients and counsel for her client-focussed and approachable manner, and dedication to resolving matters in creative and cost-effective ways.
