Hilena Demelie

Hilena is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Gardiner Roberts. She maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus in condominium and real estate law. Prior to joining Gardiner Roberts, Hilena gained broad legal experience across several practice areas, working at a large full-service firm, boutique law firm, and in-house legal environments.

Hilena earned her JD from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, where she was actively involved in several extracurricular activities and initiatives, including serving as President of the University of Ottawa’s Black Law Students’ Association chapter. During her time in law school, she strengthened her advocacy skills by competing in several moot court competitions, including the McCarthy Tetrault Cup, which she won.
