Tamara Katz

Tamara’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate law, with particular experience in acquisitions and dispositions, ground leasing, joint ventures, landlord and tenant leasing, and real estate financing. She has represented both borrowers and lenders in a wide range of secured transactions, including securitized financings, participations, and syndications, involving diverse property types such as hotels, shopping centres, medical office buildings, assisted living facilities, office buildings, and power plants.

Tamara also has significant experience acting for lenders in the restructuring and workout of commercial mortgage loans, including forbearance agreements, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, and other consensual enforcement arrangements.

Before joining Gardiner Roberts in 2012, Tamara practised real estate law with Latham & Watkins LLP in New York, bringing a valuable cross-border perspective to her practice.
